Friends of the Humber Bridge Country Park

We are a group of volunteers interested in the welfare of this Local Nature Reserve located on the North bank of the River Humber adjacent to Hessle Foreshore just west of Hull.  Here you will find a haven for people and wildlife set amongst woods, meadows and ponds.

Our Purpose...

is to protect the Humber Bridge Country Park environment as a natural piece of countryside where animals and plants can flourish whilst allowing the public access to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Please join us at our conservation activities and/or indoor meetings. Everyone welcome!

Biologists, geologists, artists, dog walkers, joggers, bird watchers, picnickers, students, and people generally who simply like to visit the countryside are attracted to its varied landscape.

Towering cliffs, ponds, meadows, glades and different woodlands are brought together by an interesting network of country paths.

Indeed the varied scenery has given rise to some local nicknames to particular areas like “Little Switzerland”  and “Dinosaur Swamps” –  although not many people have seen dinosaurs recently!
